CURATED RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATIONS & HIGH-STANDARD CRAFTSMANSHIP
At Daniele Perna Designs, we have come to recognize a recurring reality for many of our clients: the need for highly skilled, design-sensitive work that falls outside the scope of full renovations or large construction projects, yet still demands exceptional care, discretion, and precision.
In New York City especially, these types of installations and technical interventions—fine carpentry, electrical adjustments, painting and finishing, art and photo installation, furniture placement, and related work—can be surprisingly difficult to execute efficiently. Contractors are typically structured around larger jobs, and when asked to take on smaller, highly detailed projects, they are often required to price the work at a higher level to cover their operational costs. This frequently makes smaller projects impractical or unconventionally expensive.
In response, Craft Installations was developed as a distinct, design-aligned service focused on precise execution, material intelligence, and continuity of intent. This is not a construction contractor or construction team, nor does it operate within the framework of conventional building trades. Instead, the work is led by a Lead Craftsman—someone responsible for judgment, execution, and alignment with architectural and interior design intent.
When a project requires additional hands, specialized technical expertise, or situational support, the Lead Craftsman draws from a trusted network of skilled collaborators, assembled as needed for the scope at hand. This approach allows projects to remain focused, flexible, and properly scaled—without the overhead or rigidity of conventional trade structures.
All projects are coordinated through our firm. Materials are prepared in advance, scheduling is managed directly, and client interface and billing are handled in-house. This structure allows the Lead Craftsman and supporting collaborators to focus entirely on the work itself.
